Experience
I have worked as an IT Help Assistant at the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya, where I was attached to the Computer Laboratory from August 2024 to January 2025. In this role, I gained hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting many computer systems used daily by students and staff. My responsibilities included system upgrades, software installations, hardware repairs, and assisting users with technical issues. I also supported the smooth functioning of the computer lab by ensuring network connectivity, managing devices, and maintaining system security.

In addition to my role at PGIS, I have over two years of experience in the IT field, working mainly as a hardware technician. During this time, I developed expertise in diagnosing and repairing desktop computers, laptops, and related devices. I have practical knowledge of replacing faulty components such as motherboards, power supplies, RAM, and hard drives, as well as optimizing system performance. My work also included setting up new systems, configuring networks for small-scale environments, and providing user support for both hardware and software-related issues.
